Crestchic USA will be showcasing a range of load banks at the forthcoming Data Center World event in Texas.

The event, which takes place at Austin Convention Center, 8-11 May,  is billed as the leading digital infrastructure event designed for data center professionals, technology business leaders, and innovators that are shaping the future of the digital industry.

The Crestchic team will be available at booth 449 for the duration of the event to showcase its product offering, including:

Speaking about the event, Steven Bacon, Business Development Manager, commented:

“The event focuses on technologies required to plan, manage, and optimize your data center, so is the perfect place for us to showcase our load testing technology and educate users about the need for generator testing as part of any power resilience strategy. As well as helping to meet uptime SLAs, periodic load bank testing is an important part of meeting standards for emergency power generation and load testing, as set out by the Joint Commission, NFPA, NEC, and ISO.”

The timing of the event comes only weeks after the Uptime Institute’s Annual Outages Analysis was published. When it comes to backup power, the message from the industry experts is clear: “Generators are reliable, but require regular scheduled maintenance, fuel checks, and testing.” This advice follows swiftly on the heels of the Institute’s 2023 resilience survey, which revealed that just under a third of operators experienced a major outage at their site caused by a power problem in the last three years.

Steven continues, “Preventing power outages and maintaining productivity continues to be a key driver for these mission-critical environments. Load banks are an integral part of both the data center commissioning and ongoing testing of backup power solutions, as well as for heat load testing to mitigate risk during operation. We are keen to meet decision-makers from the data centre market, who are looking to improve how they manage power for new and existing data centre campuses.”

In addition to being on stand at booth 449, Steven is looking forward to attending the Data Center BUILD conference, where he will be representing Crestchic. “I’m excited to attend this year’s Data Center BUILD. It is a great forum for us to contribute to conversations around the mission-critical business of constructing data centers and best practices. Perhaps most importantly, it is an ideal opportunity for us to learn from other experts in the field and ensure that our solutions continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the industry we serve.”
